About Oogst
Oogst is a new concept in farm stores. Only some have time to stop by the local farmer, so Oogst stores are centrally located and efficiently served seven days a week with their app.
Oogst is more than a neighbourhood grocery store. It is the place for sustainable consumers and local farmers where freshness, taste and nature-inclusive farming methods are paramount.
Oogst operates using a franchise model, where a so-called “Oogst farmer” as a store operator purchases from local farmers and suppliers and runs the store. The stores themselves are unmanned, and checkout is by app. They rely on the customer’s honesty to weigh their product and enter it into the app.
Oogst aims to open stores in several places so farmers and people in villages or towns know and meet each other again.

What issues did they encounter?

Oogst currently has 2 stores, in Woerden and Leiden, and soon they will open a store in Haarlem.
With their app, Oogst has a wealth of data, from which useful insights can be extracted and what can be used to improve the customer experience, as well as targeted campaigns.
In order to better set up their marketing and sales, Oogst came to us asking for more insights into their operations, especially at the store level, among other things in order to create better marketing campaigns.
They also wanted more insight into their finances to make it easier to make financial decisions, as well as to better manage margins and sales, and to make long-term financial projections.
Since part of their funding is through crowdfunding, it is important to have a good overview of what is happening within the company.

For Oogst, this meant the following:
- In an introductory conversation, we started by discussing their wish list and what KPIs they were driving on. We fine-tuned this together with Oogst.
- Vervolgens hebben we een dashboard oplossing gebouwd in Power BI als POC.
- We then implemented and fine-tuned the Power BI dashboard.
- After this, we provide Oogst support on key insights and enhancements to maximize growth.

What did it give them?
A dashboard which gives better insights into the business, and from where it has become easier to make financial decisions.
This in turn led to better campaigns and ultimately enabled Oogst to better manage revenue and margin.
